Evora Hospice Welcomes Health Minister Nesbitt During Funding Announcement Visit

During a visit to Evora Hospice in Newry, Health Minister Mike Nesbitt highlighted the collaborative approach behind the newly announced Cancer Charities Grant Scheme. The Minister noted that the scheme was shaped through a co‑design process with the Northern Ireland Cancer Charities Coalition, ensuring support is directed to people living with cancer right across Northern Ireland.

A total of 16 cancer service charities will receive funding through the scheme, which is jointly supported by the Department of Health and Macmillan Cancer Support. Evora Hospice is among the organisations set to benefit, strengthening its ability to provide specialist care and support to individuals and families across the region.
